This is a wheel-thrown porcelain vase. When freshly thrown on the wheel, I give it a little squeeze at three points, creating pleasing divots in the sides.

It has been decorated by hand in an undulating net pattern, reminiscent of the nets that fruit is sold in. I accentuate the undulation of the surface with the pattern which tends to make people stop and try to work out if the surface actually undulates or if it’s an illusion!

Thrown and altered by hand and decorated entirely by eye, each one of these vases is completely unique.

These little vases are just perfect for a small festive bunch, or daffodils or tulips when spring arrives.
